The Diamond Mine Winter Academy got off to a great start with campers learning the fundamentals of hitting. Campers went through 10 hitting stations with each station emphasizing different aspects of the swing. Diamond Mine Showcase members were on hand to help with the campers as they worked along with Diamond Mine instructors.
Week 2 will focus on fielding. Throwing and catching, proper techniques fielding ground balls and fly balls will also be a focus of week 2.
