2015 Diamond Mine Softball

Softball is winding down for the 2014 season and wow, what a great season it has been for the Diamond Mine. This was our first full season of softball and has seen us going from no teams to having now an 8u, 10u, 12u, and a 14u. As this season comes to an end it is time to gear up and recruit players for next year’s teams.

The Diamond Mine would like to do softball differently than other organizations.  It is our goal to have a team at every age, not every two years. This would allow young ladies to stay together and develop instead of starting over every year with a new group. I think this would appeal to most everyone, but it means we need a great number of players and several people willing to step up and help coach all these teams. This is our long term goal and we need your help to make it happen.

If your child is interested in playing on a softball team and being able to develop her skills and become a part of a long term team, then the Diamond Mine might just be the place for her. If you are a coach looking to coach and be a part of this organization then give me a call. Please call and give me your daughter’s age and birth year so that we can start putting this all together. Playing age will be her age as of January 1st, 2015.

Diamond Mine 11U Wins State Championship

Diamond Mine 11U

The Diamond Mine 11U AAA team won the championship in the Fall Mountain State tournament this past weekend. The team has been working real hard in the cages and put on a real show with their batting abilities scoring a total of seventy five runs in five games! The defense was not quite as good as the offense but still only  allowing twenty five runs to score for an average of five a game. The team had a great come from behind win in the championship game.  Down 10-6 going into the bottom of the sixth inning, The Diamond Mine boys didn't give up and came back and won 11-10. It was a great team effort all weekend. The team has worked extremely hard all year and The Diamond Mine and Coaching staff could not be more proud!  Congratulations Diamond Mine 11U.
