Diamond Mine 12U Major Wins Super NIT

The Diamond Mine 12u Major team continued their winning ways by traveling to Charlotte to win The Queen City Super NIT. The Diamond Mine went 5-0 for the weekend and now stand at 8-0 on the season. The team managed two wins Saturday against the top two seeds in the tournament securing the 3rd seed overall going into Sundays bracket play.

In game one, William Rauers was the winning pitcher with Wes Cota picking up the save. The run rule was put in effect in 4th inning as The Diamond Mine racked up 17 runs in the contest. There were multiple hits from multiple players as The Diamond Mine offense was clicking on all cylinders.

Jude Carter started game two and Peyton Helms completed the victory for the Mine. Corbin Spilliards, Peyton Helms, and Kameron Keenan all had multiple hits in the game. A big blow was provided by Kameron Keenan with a triple.


Corbin. Spilliards went the distance in game three allowing one run over 4 scattered hits.

The bats continued to stay hot all weekend and as Gunner McConnell, Corbin Spilliards and Peyton Helms all had multiple hits to secure the championship.
